Grace is not a perfect church, but we serve a perfect God and we seek him daily. We believe in living life together, through all of the ups and downs. If you are looking for a church home, we invite you to come and experience life here at Grace.

We are a church that desires to see God’s Kingdom here on earth as it is heaven, and we invite you to join us as we serve together to make that a reality here in Odessa, Texas, and around the world.

OUR HISTORY

Founded in 1995, Grace origionally met in a rented Physical Therapy building.
We purchased our first facility in 1996 and met on the west side of Odessa.
In 2005, Grace joined forces with the Christian Church of Odessa, and the 2 churches became one.
We outgrew our west side facility and moved into our existing location on Billy Hext Rd. in 2007.
In 2017, we began a Mother's Day Out program that has now grown to become a state-licenced child care facility that meets on the Grace campus during the week.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Below we have listed out what we believe to be the essentials of the Christian faith. In all essential beliefs, we should have unity. In all nonessential beliefs, we have liberty. However, in all our beliefs, we are called to show love.

God

We believe in one God Who has existed from eternity past in three distinct yet united Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We believe God the Father is the Creator of all things visible and invisible.

Jesus

We believe Jesus Christ, God’s one and only Son, came from heaven to earth, was born of the Virgin Mary, and was fully God yet fully man. He lived a life without sin, but was crucified on the cross for our sins. He died, was buried, and rose from the dead on the third day. He ascended into Heaven, is now seated at the right hand of the Father, and will return to earth to reign as King of kings and Lord of lords.

Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is active in the world today, making people aware of their need for Christ. He lives in every Christian from the moment of redemption and provides us with spiritual gifts, power for living, spiritual insight and guidance.

Bible

We believe the Bible is God’s Word to us, written by men but inspired by the Holy Spirit. It is absolute truth without any errors and is the ultimate source of truth for Christian beliefs and living.

Mankind

We believe that man, created by God in His image, chose to sin, causing a breach in the intimate relationship that existed between God and man. Every person born thereafter inherited this broken relationship in sin nature.

Eternity

The only hope that we have to be reunited with God is through Jesus Christ. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally united with God is Heaven. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.

Salvation

We believe God has offered us the free gift of salvation based on Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. We cannot earn salvation and we cannot do anything to deserve salvation. Salvation is a free gift from God, given by His grace, through faith in Christ, alone. At the moment of salvation, our spirits are made alive, we receive the Holy Spirit as a seal to ensure our salvation, and we receive eternal life with God. As Representatives of Christ, we will be held accountable to Jesus for our words and deeds done and undone.

Church

We believe that the body of Christ, the Church, which was founded on the Day of Pentecost, consists of all believers, regardless of denomination or organizational affiliation. We believe Christ commanded His Church to observe water baptism and communion until He returns.
